This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to acquire and manage physical resources to achieve gas utility business objectives.

It includes determining physical resource requirements by reviewing and acquisition of physical resources and completing physical resource record requirements in a gas utility organisation.

This unit refers to physical resources, acquisition and allocation of resources, organisational policies and procedures that may vary between sectors and organisations, budget formats and budgets, relevant authorities and other stakeholders, and expected lifetime of equipment.

This unit applies to any safe work site where gas industry operations occur.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Assessment Tasks

relevant authorities and other stakeholders must include at least four (4) of the following:

government (state, local, federal)

employee representative (union)

owners of leased property

reports must include at least three (3) of the following:

spreadsheets

written reports

completion of proformas

completion of forms

verbal reports

government budget submission proformas
